Venerdì sera a letto presto

The artist throws into crisis the ontological paradigm of "the sofa as apparatus of stasis" through an audiovisual practice of domestic wandering assisted by neural networks. The camera, appointed to the registration of the real, is reconfigured as a sentient interface generating a para-medieval bestiary capable of suspending the distinction between the quotidian and the hieratic.

The ordinary Friday evening, traditionally consecrated to extroverted sociality, is here ritualised in interiore domo, where the very act of "going to bed early" assumes the valence of phenomenological liminality. The work thus enacts a domestication of the sublime: the corridor becomes a nave, the kitchen an apse, the bed linen a palimpsest; the author's body, precariously choreographic, activates processes of intra-action, converting the home into a diegetic ecology, and so on, and so forth…
